Functionality

 How does Gibli.com work?
Ans:   Gibli is about trading (monetising or commercialising) your skills and knowledge. This means that anyone who has expertise can be a report publisher and online seller at Gibli. A seller can also be a buyer, so for example someone who publishes reports about his or her specialist area, i.e. pharmaceuticals, may also be a report buyer, i.e. how to do business in the Middle East.
Can I get consultancy and contracts as a result of a Gibli sell?
Ans:   If a buyer has found a report useful, he or she may wish to visit the seller’s profile. Here they will see contact details including phone, email and websites. There no charge for this, even if it leads to consultancy or contracts.
How often can I sell my report?
Ans:    Once a seller has a report uploaded and listed for sale, each sale is only a copy of the original file. This means that the same report can be sold again and again, unless a seller wishes to sell his or her knowledge on an exclusive once-only download, in which case it can be removed after a sale.
Does my report or knowledge have to be in any particular format?
Ans:   No. File formats can be in the written word, presentations, audio or video. Although there is provision for any file format to be uploaded to your Gibli Shelf, for written reports we recommend PDF formats wherever possible. PDFs are universally accessible and unlike Word documents, the format will not change regardless of user operating system or page/print settings. Remember, any unusual formats may restrict the saleability of your know-how, so keep it accessible and simple. Some file types may need to be quarantined and inspected for safety reasons.
Does my report ever expire?
Ans:    Exactly a year after you uploaded and listed your report on Gibli, it will expire and need to be relisted. This is to ensure that all reports are up to date and still relevant. You should not need to upload the report again, just login, go to the seller section and click the ‘List My Report’ link. Here you will see any reports which have been uploaded, but are not yet listed for sale. Click on the report your want to list, review your selling price and click the ‘Save and List’ button at the bottom of the form.
Can I use Gibli if I’m not in the UK?
Ans:    Yes, this site is open to buyers and sellers throughout the world. Transactions and prices are shown in UK £ Pounds. Credit card payments from any source currency can be made via our online bank 'NetPayments’.
How do I list my report for sale on Gibli.com?
Ans:    Uploading and listing reports for sale are two separate processes. Once you have finished uploading a report, you will need to go to the ‘List My Report’ page in the seller section to get it listed for sale. The link is amongst the ‘Upload and Sell’ links on the lower left hand corner of the screen. (http://www.gibli.com/Sellers/seller_listing.aspx)
